How To Find Time To Workout?

I want to believe that more and more people begin to understand that the most valuable resources in our life are time, health, and knowledge. And I am talking not about knowledge you get from reading social networks, watching life hack videos on YouTube, but learning from real professionals. If you have all this, you will have everything else.

You can’t replace one with the other in these three things. Well, maybe only partially, and not for long. So, I am surprised when a person can not find time to do simple workout exercises and some study.

But the problem really exists, and I would like to share my thoughts about it. Where to get the time for a workout? And in general, is it worth it?

No Time For A Workout?

In my opinion, the problem of lack of time consists of two parts. The first is purely organizational when you need to slightly rearrange your daily routine and give up useless or completely unnecessary things. And the second part is ideological, associated with the physiological backgrounds and education of the person.

Organizational Part

I will begin with the organizational part. And I’m sure you can easily add more thoughts in the comments, which I will be happy to see!

First of all, I want to note that I regularly read books about management. I learn a lot of curious things from them. For example, an average person spends at least 3-5 hours a day on useless activities. At the same time, he tells everyone that he works without lifting his head and is complaining about the lack of time. The curious fact, isn’t it?

? Get Up Earlier

An extra 15 to 20 minutes a day can’t hurt anyone. Right? Why not rearrange your schedule so that you have that time? In almost any circumstance, a person can go to bed earlier to get up earlier. For sure, it will take some time to get used to, but in the morning, there is a real chance to do some workouts and make a basic plan for the day.

And, yes, have you heard from someone that morning drills are bad for you? From who? From a fatty buddy? A morning workout certainly doesn’t have to be killer in terms of workload. But it shouldn’t be sluggish and relaxing either. A few breathing exercises, a trivial set of push-ups, squats, and bends of 15-20 reps. That’s all! Next, a shower (preferably contrast), breakfast, and you are ready for your daytime routine work.

If you are a so-called ‘night owl,’ then you can do a good workout late in the evening or even at night. That is perfectly fine, as long as it fits well with your lifestyle and work schedule. Moreover, 5-10 min of night activity instead of sitting in front of a computer is much more healthy.

? Develop A Habit

In order for workouts to become an organic part of your life, you need to make it a habit. It’s not as easy as it seems, but it’s not as hard as someone may say. Start doing it without any requirements and preparations. Allocate a place, 5-10 minutes, do some well-known exercises [LINK], and here you have a workout done!

At first, it will be unusual and may be unpleasant. But this feeling is only temporary and will quickly become a habit. You have to show some consistency and regularity. After 3-5 workouts, everything will be much better and more habitual. Discipline yourself – you couldn’t find a better gift for yourself!

? Properly Use Your Free Time

Instead of checking your WhatsApp messages one more time, better do a set of push-ups or squats. And after that, you may look into messenger. Do you think it’s so hard? Always, if you have spare free time and the opportunity, do some activity, walk or even jump. If you have the chance to do some workout, do it! It’s not hard. The main thing is to keep it in mind and take action.

? Everything you need is at your fingertips

That is great when you have an organized space where all your workout equipment always at hand.

Many people complain that there is no way they can start exercising. And when I visit their homes, I understand why. In their homes, yards, etc., there is no place for a workout. Often you can move something a bit around your room, and only then you can exercise.

But sometimes it is impossible. For example, I frequently visit my relatives in Kentucky. So, neither in the house nor outside, there is not a single corner where I could do push-ups 20-30 times. I’m not even talking about lying on my back! These houses exist! It’s like everything there is designed to make sure no one dares or even think about working out! ?

So, make sure you have a place in your home or office to exercise: 20 square feet of neat area + a few simple things like a gym mat, small dumbbells, etc.

Ideally, there should be several places to exercise on every occasion. And some small resistance band and a gym mat hanging out in your bag or car.

? Workout programs schedule

Usually, a considerable workout requires a 30-60 minute immersion in the workout routine. You have to stretch, reach a certain intensity and heart rate, and keep the pace for a certain amount of time. And that is how you will get results.

Fortunately, some workout programs can be done in parts throughout the day with virtually no loss of effectiveness. For example, 5-10 minutes in the morning before work, 10-15 minutes in the afternoon (you can do it several times), 10-15 minutes in the evening after work or before going to bed.

Ideological Part

Once upon a time, my grandmother lamented that I got too tired from my workouts. But I couldn’t convince my grandmother that it was the opposite case! I was getting a lot more out of exercise than I was spending on it. That’s the absolute truth!

As you get older, you may notice emerging age-related health problems. And good for you if you make the right conclusions earlier. It would be even better to say there is only one conclusion – it is necessary to maintain and increase your physical abilities. Otherwise, you lose your ability to work, slowly but surely.

I do not know many people of 40-50 years who could make pull-ups more than 2-3 times. And, nobody of them for sure who can do one or two power pull-ups! On the other hand, I in my 40s can do 25-30 pull-ups at any time of the year.

Do you think there is a difference in our health and performance levels? And how different our looks are? And after all, 40-50 years is a blooming age – you acquire at least some life experience, knowledge, intelligence. Doesn’t it hurt you to think of a sad finish at this stage?

Fitness is a long-term investment, not an expense

Investing is when you think today about what’s going to happen in a few years. This ability is what distinguishes adults and wise people. I hope you are one of them. Remember, investing in health and education always pays off!

? What do you want from life?

When a person needs something, he takes it or makes steps towards it. It’s as simple as that.

When it comes time to pay your rent, you will turn yourself inside out to make the payment on time. What’s stopping you from being just as enthusiastic about your muscles and health? Is your rent more valuable than your well-being, beauty, strength, and health?

? Using the most effective workout methods

To save some time and energy, it makes sense to use the most advanced workout methods. They also tend to be the most exciting, and that solves the problem of boredom. Try to get bored at a personal fitness training session or a CrossFit class!

And not everyone wants to become a bodybuilder or MMA champion. Still, it makes sense to spend less and get more. You can run for 2 hours, or you can perform a properly adjusted calisthenics complex for 20 minutes (the second one will be much more useful, by the way).

So, study the methods of training, learn the exercises. Consult a trainer, if necessary. That will help to save your time.
